Hi guys! I created this layout after our annual beach trip. I actually found a free cut file while browsing around on Pinterest and thought I would use the negative space to make the background. I decided to try and make it sunset colors because the photo that I was using was taken at sunset.
I cut the file from textured white cardstock, then used distress oxides to watercolor each section a different color. I used mustard seed, spiced marmalade, candied apple, picked raspberry, seedless preserves, and wilted violet. I glued them down, letting some of the pieces stick up for added dimension.
I then splashed a tiny bit of the yellow watercolor in the top left corner and splashed a bit of the purple on the bottom right corner. I then backed my photo with some white cardstock and tissue paper and adhered it to the page. For the title, I again cut that from textured cardstock and mixed up some wilted violet with chipped sapphire distress oxides to make more of a bluish purple. I glued that down, then added a few flowers and a sentiment from Paige Evan's Bloomstreet collection. Final touch was to add some sequins in the corners.
